Introduction
The reason I write this article is because there are some SEO companies / SEO Specialists / SEO Experts claim that they are one of the top SEO service provider in Malaysia, and, some so called “top listing directory” or “best website portals” claim that the websites / companies chosen by them are the best or the top companies for SEO services in Malaysia
The question is , how they define “the best SEO companies in Malaysia” or “the top SEO Services in Malaysia” ? Unfortunately, they never disclose the measurement or methodology how they selected those so called the top or the best SEO companies in Malaysia. Did they choose from the sales figure ? the number of SEO employees ?or the years of company’s establishment ?
From my points of view, if I want to define “the best or the top SEO companies in Malaysia“, it should go back to the principal : the SEO company shall able to rank itself on the 1st Page in Search Engine, especially Google.
The logic is simple, you said you are the top or the best SEO companies, then you should prove it by ranking yourself on top of the Search Engine, right ? 😉
Methodology
Keywords Choosing Methods
First of all, I selected the keywords which are commonly search by Malaysian and more than 100 searches per month, as below :
The total number of keywords : 15
Please note that the avg. monthly searches volume here is vary every month because Google will update the search volume monthly. The keywords listed here is dated 24-March-2023.
There are other popular keywords such as “SEO” or “Search Engine Optimization” are not listed here because I have checked the Google SERP (search engine result page) and could not find any Malaysian SEO company rank for these 2 keywords. So to save time, I have excluded these 2 keywords.
Web Searching Method
To make the search result more accurate, I was using a brand new laptop with Chrome browser, no any additional SEO plug-in and no user sign-in to Chrome. This is to minimize the influence of cookies, browsing history and etc which may affect the accuracy of search result.
Website Choosing Method
I will only choose the websites that appear on 1st page of Google SERP for more than 1 (one) keywords. If a website is only appear for one(1) keyword, I will not include in my finding results because the list will be very long.
If 2 (two) websites have same number of keywords rank on Google, i.e. Company A have 10 keywords rank on Google and Company B also got 10 keywords rank on Google, then I will choose which website got more keywords rank on #1 , if both websites are tie again, then I will choose which website got more keywords rank on #2, and so on

There are none of the websites / companies rank for ALL 15 keywords but I think it is logical. Just like there is no any SEO companies in the world dare to promise all the keywords that the client chosen will rank on top 10 in Google.
From the above list, however, you will find that some websites is a directory/oversea website/portals. For example, cluth.co, sortlist.com and webfx.com. So I will exclude cluto.co when come to the final selection of Top 10 list.

Based on the above ranking frequency table and exclude the directory/portal, The top 10 Google SEO Services Company are :

Both Nuweb and imarketing have 10 keywords rank on Google, but Nuweb got 3 keywords rank on #2 position compare to imarketing only got 1 keyword rank on #2 position , so Nuweb rank #1
Similarly, Locus-T and adam-SEO have 9 keywords rank on Google, but Locus-T got 2 keywords rank on #1 position compare to adam-SEO only got 1 keywords rank on #1 position, so Locus-T rank #3
Conclusion
If you want to pick the top / one of the best SEO service company in Malaysia, obviously the above scientific finding is more convincing compare to those self-proclaimed top / best companies but cannot rank itself for at least 2 keywords out of 15 keywords above.
However, I need to emphasize that the top 10 website above is my finding in March, 2023. The ranking of the websites above may go up and down from time to time for the 15 keywords I selected, and therefore this so called “Top 10 / Best 10 Google SEO services company in Malaysia” may not valid in coming months, if some of the websites’ ranking are drop.
Another issue I also need to emphasize is, the more keywords rank for a website doesn’t 100% mean it is the best. It is because some of the keywords are more competitive and more search volumes, i.e. “SEO Malaysia“, “Google SEO” are more competitive and more search volume compare to “local SEO malaysia” and “SEO consultant Malaysia”. In this circumstances, A website rank for higher search volume and more competitive keywords are better than those rank for low search volume , less competitive keywords, but this is more complexity of comparison and calculation, so this may be another article for me to write in future.
